One Picture And One Story Week #99

Hi Guys!

I trust y'all are keeping well. I've got a picture and a story to share with you guys! What you see up there is a perfect example of the statement "The Joy Of Every Farmer". Here is the harvest of our tubers of yam planted early this year, it is now mature and ready for consumption...

This is not all though, the harvest is still on, our worker in the farm is still doing the harvesting bit by bit because he is the only one available.I'm not too surprised that the yams are not as big as expected even though what we have here still meets the market standard.

A little neglect on our part reduced our expected outcome. The yam didn't get as much care as required for its growth. I wasn't stable at the farm as well and the guy (former worker) who was supposed to be on the farm at the time didn't't care about it, so it had to survive on its own.

We are grateful to God that we were still able to get so much in spite of the neglect, I mean this is just like 1/3 of what is to be brought in. Isn't God faithful...Smiles. After the whole harvest is ready, we would have to decide what to do with it

We might decide to sell part and then have the rest to ourselves, a plan that is likely to be our resolve but then if selling all is the conclusion we come to then so be it, it's a win-win. The next thing to be harvested is our potatoes which was planted months ago, it's also ready and we can't wait to see what it looks like.

Farming appears interesting when the harvest comes, it is always at this point that everyone desires to be a farmer. I hope they do not forget the process which includes cultivation and nurturing to maturity which is the real work that eventually produces the result.

We have put in the work in our little way by the help of God and now the harvest is ready. We return all praise to God who had made it possible. Thank you all for coming this far with me. See you in my next post.
