Assalamu Alaikum! Hope you are all well, Alhamdulillah I am also very well. I am very happy to have a course on such a wonderful topic "SC-S31-W1 // The Art of Bread Making // "Flat Bread" in the first week of Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 31. Although we consider bread making to be an easy task, through this course I once again felt that it is an ancient art. Many thanks to @suboohi madam for giving me the opportunity to organize this competition. In today's post, I will share the story of making bread or our ever-familiar flour bread and paratha from my kitchen experience. So let's get started....!

✅ 1. What type of bread do you make at your home. Have you tried flat bread before?(2 Mark)

Bread is an integral part of our daily lives. Personally, I usually prefer to make homemade bread from wheat flour at home. But especially when our family has breakfast together in the morning, it is a source of peace to fry it with hot fulko wheat flour and flour bread. This flat bread or chapta roti is not new to me at all. Since my childhood, I have seen how my mother used to make bread for our entire family with utmost compassion. But now I feel quite comfortable making bread and paratha myself. Apart from that, I have had the opportunity to eat naan roti, garlic naan, tandoori roti, rumali roti from shops at different times, considering everything, I think the satisfaction of making my own bread is different.

✅ 2. Make any flat bread (roti/paratha/tortilla)that you like with a detailed step-by-step procedure along with images. (6 Marks)
Today I am sharing with you my very favorite soft wheat flour roti and folded paratha recipe.
| Ingredient Name | Quantity |
| Desi wheat flour | 2 cups |
| Salt | A little bit |
| Soybean oil | 2 tablespoons |
| Warm water | As needed |

👨🍳 The preparation method for Flat Bread recipe (step by step) is given below:

✔ I first took 2 cups of wheat flour in a clean bowl. Now I mixed a little salt and oil in it. Then I added a little warm water little by little and made a smooth dough with great patience.

✔ Then I covered the dough with a plate for 30 minutes. Leaving the dough covered for 20-30 minutes allows the gluten to set and makes it much easier to roll out the bread.
✔ Once the yeast was set, I cut the lychees into small pieces. Then, I sprinkled a little flour on top of the lychees, made them into round shapes, and placed them in a bowl.

✔ I now rolled out the dough balls with a rolling pin so that all sides were the same thickness. I shaped the dough into the round shape I wanted.

✔ At this stage, I spread 1 teaspoon of oil on the rolled bread. Then I rolled it like a rope and stretched it. Now I rolled it again and made it into a round shape. I made all the rounds in the same way and kept it on a plate.

✔ At this stage, I heated a pan in the oven and first fried the rotis on low heat, then fried them in oil on both sides until golden brown. I fried all the rotis in the same way and placed them on a plate.
Final presentation of my recipe

✅ Alhamdulillah! Finally my flat bread is now completely ready to serve.

✅ 3. List the prices of the ingredients you buy for making the bread. (prices in your local currency and in STEEM).(1 Mark)

Below is a list of the ingredients used in my flat bread recipe, according to their approximate market price and current STEEM rate (1 STEEM = 7.15 Taka):
| Ingredient Name | Quantity | Approximate Price (Taka) | Price (STEEM) |
| Wheat flour | (packet) 1 kg | 70 taka | 9.78 STEEM |
| Oil (soybean) | As much | 20 taka | 2.79 STEEM |
| Salt | A little | 2 taka | 0.27 STEEM |
| Total | Cost | 92 Taka | 12.84 STEEM |
I have been making this low-cost, "Flat Bread" recipe in our home environment, which has been a real pleasure.

✅ 4. Make a good Presentation of your bread. (1 Mark)

I always believe that any food we prepare tastes twice as good if it is presented beautifully. I have prepared my wheat flour paratha and decorated it with onions on a plate. Cooking is a soothing experience, but by participating in this competition, I have not only learnt how to make roti but also got to present my daily habits in a creative way. I hope you all like this small effort of mine.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post. May you all always be well and healthy by the grace of allah. I end here by wishing you all a long life.
