SLC27-W6 | A One-Day Street Journalist: Street raw
Hello Everyone!!
I hope you all are good and doing well. Today I'm reviewing a vegetables shop and becoming a one day street journalist. I have seen many good entries in this contest showing what vegetables are available in their local market and at ehat price they bought.
There are many atreet vegetable stalls and vegetable markets from there we buy fresh vegetables in my area. Many times we buy from vegetable carts and some times from Sunday market.
Today I'm reviewing a vegetables shop in a navy colony. At this colony all products that are selling are priced controlled by army. They sell good quality products at low prices than other markets.
01-What vegetables are available at the vegetable shop you will review?
I'm reviewing Navy fruit and vegetable market. The above picture is showing more than 20 different fresh vegetables at store including carrot, cucumber, spinach, green chilies, coriander leves,cabbage, colli flower, beetroot, ginger,garlic, bottle ground, mint, bringle, tomatoes, onion, potatoes etc .
Here I'm sharing some vegetables picture with their details to understand the quality of vegetables that are selling at this shop.

The most attractive thing of this shop is the seller is very friendly and of good nature. He was selling good products at reasonable prices and also giving advice to the customer. That's why he is more popular among the people and his shop is more rushed than other's.

03-How do they manage losses when vegetable prices fluctuate?
I asked this question to the vegetable seller then he give some information that I'm sharing here,
We all know vegetables rates fluctuate, last week tomatoes prices were 550-650 pkr on their grading but today's rate is 55 Pkr. When the vegetable crops destroyed by weather conditions itsdemand become high so their rate increases. During this market condition they buy that vegetables in less quantity to minimise their lose. They usually selling vegetables at the rate having margin of spoiling of vegetables . According to weather and demand they have to change the rate of vegetables to minimise their loss.
04-How do they survive when there is a lack of buyers in the market?
It's become very difficult for them because shelf life of vegetable is just 2-3 days only in such kind of street vegetable shops. It's very important to sell the vegetable instead of destroy/spoiling. In this condition they sell vegetable at very low prices. So if less number of customers visiting shop they will buy more vegetables due to cheaper rates. Only they have this solution to resolve this problem.
