How old do you want to be again?👹🍣🎎 My Japan
Fortunately, between all my many tasks and appointments, I always find the opportunity to learn and practice a little with the little ones. The older they get, the more they have to do themselves; and school and extracurricular activities unfortunately take up most of their time now. And then there's their father, who also pushes them here and there and encourages them to learn a bit more than their teacher has asked them to do. But that father means it well and he believes, especially in today's world, that it can't hurt to know a little more or be able to do a little more than the boy or girl next door.
Of course, it's a long road to get to the top, and it can be quite exhausting at times. But without hard work and effort, we won't win any prizes. At least not in the honest way that, which is still the one I prefer to take. I have so far spared the little ones the fact that, in the end, the honest ones are often the fools. Even though I want to prepare them for the sometimes harsh and unfair life out there, I am still trying to shield them from to many disappointment, at least for the time being. In a few years, they will unfortunately have to make their own unpleasant experiences, like most of us. But fortunately they are still at an age where their own imagination and dreams are still very important.
To be honest, I would like to go back there myself. How great would it be to be able to forget and put aside our responsibilities for a while? And to be able to block out all the other crap that's currently going wrong in our world.
Whenever the topic of how old we would like to be again comes up, I don't have to think long about my own answer:
Eight years old!
I've been giving this answer for several years now, and my reasoning hasn't changed:
At eight, life was still carefree and, at least in retrospect, we had few problems. The only thing we worried about was what delicious food we will get tonight for dinner.
Of course, this is just a matter of opinion, but I think most of you understand what I mean. And that's exactly why I would like to be a child again, even if it meant that I would have to learn everything I know today all over again, or rather, everything I have already forgotten.
But I think it would be worth it for the fun. Definitely!
