My Wildest “What If?” (Doctors capable of diagnosis & treating diseases before the arival of symptoms)
Hello Steemians, there are many mysteries,
inventions, and opportunities that remind us that even the most improbable things today could become reality someday. The idea of "What if?" does not mean for me just magic or something that exists in films. There are many possibilities, inventions that can completely change our lives.

My crazy "What if?" would be the power of foreseeing the future and changing some things if needed. It fascinates me due to the reason that no matter what we have already achieved, the future still waits for us and no one knows for sure what it brings. We plan, make goals, study, work, take decision without knowing what awaits us tomorrow.
If this power became reality, the first step I would make would be to analyze it thoroughly. The point is that any small change made in one event could cause some unpredictable consequences and I would need to know how to avoid it.
The first people who should accompany me would be my relatives and trusted friends. I would like to experience it with such people that will not let me become crazy from the new power or addicted to it.

Imagine waking up one morning and realizing that you can see a few minutes, days, or even years into the future.
I stare at my hands and visualize different versions of my future. I see myself being successful yet losing some of the people that matter most to me. In other scenarios, I will be making different choices which help me to identify new opportunities. But there is one big future. It is one where technology has provided solutions to some of the challenges in life.
I see cars, buses, and motorcycles running on cheap and cleaner fuel. I see people living in houses that are able to generate their own energy. Lastly, I see doctors being able to detect serious illnesses with the help of advanced technology, hence giving patients an opportunity to get treatment before the situation deteriorates.
I would probably be awed at what I am seeing. But then I will have to realize that having an insight of the future does not necessarily mean being in control. There would still be situations whose occurrence would depend on the decisions made by people.
Hence instead of trying to control events that were supposed to happen in the future, I will use the insight that I have to make good decisions. If I foresee a dangerous situation, I will make plans to counter it. Where I can see a chance of opportunity, I will move closer towards the said direction. In case I foresee a situation where my actions would hurt someone, I will endeavor to rectify the mistakes that I made earlier on before I reach that particular stage.
I will use the opportunity to travel.
First and foremost, the two major destinations that I will consider are the United States of America and Rome. I have always wanted to see how it is like to live in America, see its cities, interact with different people and opportunities that are present there.
Rome will be different because of my interest in experiencing the historical past of the place. As a Christian, visiting Rome during the Easter period will give me the opportunity to understand more about the history behind Christianity.

As much as I would love to travel to my imagined future, I will definitely get back to the issue of altering something in the past at some point.
There are things that I would want to go back to in my educational life. For instance, there are times I wished that I had had good tutors when it came to such classes as Physics and Chemistry. Being able to have tutors that would explain the hard things to you and make you interested in the subjects would certainly change everything.
However, after considering this, I would probably leave the past as it is.
And here is why. I would not be able to tell what would have occurred if I changed that moment. What if altering that moment would result in the creation of other problems? What if the difficulty of those classes was the thing that taught me how to do my own research and find the answers?
This is what happens when we start altering the past – we tend to recall the difficulty of the situation but not the person that we have now become because of that.

Of all the inventions I can bring from the imaginary world to our reality, I would want to decrease the dependence of transportation on expensive fossil fuels.
My invention would imply the existence of cars, buses, motorcycles, etc., running on cheap energy that would be easily available in large quantities. It would affect a lot of things beyond transportation because if the cost of transportation were reduced, then moving products around would be cheaper as well.
For people living below the poverty line, this invention could really make some difference.
But I definitely do not want this kind of invention to be the property of rich corporations or individuals. When something has a great potential to improve the society, ordinary people should benefit from it as well.
This is why I find my "What If?" interesting. I am not thinking about making everything perfect in the world. I think about using creativity to solve some age-old problems.
Ultimately, my trip into the imaginary world would come to an end, and I would return to reality.
At some point, I would most likely sit and reflect on all of those things I had seen. I would have seen into the future, I would have travelled where I had dreamed of going, I would have seen technologies that do not exist today, and I would even have an opportunity to correct my past mistakes.
However, there would be one thing that I would bring back that would be far more important than any machine, or prediction, or even magic.
I would bring back a dream.
I would realize that I do not have to see the whole of the future in order to work towards creating it. I do not have to correct every mistake of my past in order to move on. And I do not have to wait for impossible things to become possible in order to work on things which I already have.
Maybe the truth of every "what if?" scenario is that the future is partially created by our choices in the present.

Such an interesting take on the “What If?” concept. I really liked your idea of seeing the future not to control everything, but to make wiser decisions and prepare for possible challenges. Your thoughts about cleaner transportation, affordable energy, and better medical technology are also very inspiring.I especially loved the ending—sometimes we don’t need to see the whole future or change our past. The choices we make today can already help us create a better tomorrow.
