Greetings
Photography of insects sitting on flowers:
Today, I would like to share some photographs with you. Photography possesses a unique quality: through it, we can observe various insects and creatures roaming amidst these flowers. This aspect truly captivates us; it allows us to identify—or learn about—a diverse array of insects, including bumblebees, spiders, and butterflies. I captured these images in the garden of the Sarojini Hostel at our Burdwan University. Therefore, I am delighted to share some of these fascinating photographs in this contest. This competition is undoubtedly wonderful, and it has been organized by @steemkidss. I extend my sincere gratitude to them for hosting such a magnificent contest. So, without further ado, let's take a look—

Calendula flower
The Calendula flower belongs to the daisy family. It is also known as the Marigold. These flowers are exceptionally beautiful—particularly their petals, which are quite striking. This is because the petals of the Calendula are ruffled, and the interplay of various colors within the flower's interior gives it a truly exquisite appearance.
The flower bears a resemblance to the sunflower, and its center is particularly captivating. Moreover, bumblebees can often be seen buzzing around these flowers as they settle to gather nectar. Here, I have shared some orange and yellow Calendula flowers, with a bumblebee and a spider perched upon them.
Dianthus flower
Dianthus flowers are of a hybrid variety and come in shades of red, pink, and white. They belong to the Caryophyllaceae family. These flowering plants are long-lived. Dianthus flowers are excellently suited for container gardening. They emit a sweet fragrance, which is precisely why insects are attracted to them. These flowers thrive in full sunlight and continue to bloom for an extended period.
Chrysanthemum
The chrysanthemum is a highly familiar and popular flower of the winter season. Just as this flower boasts numerous species, it also appears in a wide variety of colors. It is cultivated on a commercial scale, with both indigenous and hybrid varieties being grown. The specimen shown here belongs to a hybrid variety. The blooms of this plant remain fresh for 20 to 25 days. This flower can also be propagated through stem cuttings, and the plants themselves are long-lived. Furthermore, small spiders often spin their webs and build nests upon these flowers.
Dahlia Flower
The Dahlia is a popular tuberous winter flower belonging to the Asteraceae family. Moreover, the Dahlia is a perennial herbaceous plant. Furthermore, this flower comes in various colors and species. Visually, it bears a strong resemblance to the lotus flower. In this image, an insect can be seen attempting to collect nectar from the center of the flower's petals.
