morning
Immediately after waking up in the morning, I first freshened up. Then, I harvested some vegetables—specifically ridge gourds—from our small vegetable garden. Since the vines are creeping and quite delicate, I used a blade to carefully cut the gourds before placing them in a basket.
While I was engaged in this task, one of our two pet cats—the one nicknamed Pushi—kept me company the entire time. Pushi is incredibly cute; she loves to play and enjoys watching people work—plus, she happens to be quite a skilled hunter. In any case, she was busy playing. Afterward, I had a light breakfast, though I completely forgot to take a picture of it.
afternoon
In the afternoon, I prepared various vegetables by chopping them up. Consequently, my mother cooked them, while I went off to take a bath. This was because the midday sun is currently quite intense, making it rather difficult to venture outdoors. In any case, once the cooking was finished, I took a photograph of the dish featuring ridge gourd—harvested from our own fields—cooked with shrimp. I then served the meal to my family members, accompanied by the other dishes. Afterward, I took a bowl of the ridge gourd curry and sat down to eat. In the late afternoon, I went out for a stroll amidst nature, accompanied by my pet cat.
night
Later, as evening fell, we were plagued by a swarm of mosquitoes accompanied by gusty winds. Consequently, we spent the time feeling quite anxious. As the storm gathered—and since we cook on a wood-fired stove—Mother began covering the stove with thick plastic sheeting. Moreover, the sky was overcast, making rain seem imminent; so, I pitched in to help Mother as well. All in all, my day passed amidst a blend of joy, busyness, and a touch of anxiety. However, the sky cleared up again during the night, and it did not rain after all. Thus, after having our dinner of rice, we went to bed—though, in the rush of it all, I completely forgot to take any photos.
