The Diary Game: Visiting the remediation site [24nd February 2026]
Hello everyone, trust you all had a great day.
Today, I would love to share how I spent my day.
Early in the morning when I woke up, I had a little difficulty deciding whether to take a cold water bath or boil water for a warm one. After thinking about it for a while, I eventually chose to take a cold water bath. When I was done, I brushed my teeth, went back into my bedroom, and got dressed.
After dressing up, I prepared my coverall and reflective vest which I would be wearing to the site for today’s work. We had already been informed that the task ahead was going to be very serious and quite demanding, so everyone made sure to come fully prepared. My friends and I agreed to be well ready for the day. Because I knew we would be working under the sun from morning until evening, I made sure to eat very well. In fact, I even forced myself to eat more than I normally would on a regular office day.
Since I wouldn’t be staying in the office today but going out to the site, I wanted to make sure I had enough energy. After getting ready, I checked around the house to ensure everything was in order before leaving. Once I was satisfied that all was set, I left the house and headed straight to the office.
I arrived at the office around 8:30 a.m., earlier than most of the staff. While waiting for others to arrive, I started preparing the equipment with my friend that we would be using at the site. Once everyone was ready, we waited for the drivers who would transport us. Soon, the drivers and the security personnel arrived.
We loaded all our instruments and equipment into the vehicles, got in, and moved out in a long convoy heading to the site. On our way, we encountered some traffic, but because we were accompanied by security personnels, we were able to maneuver through it without much delay.
We arrived at the site around 11 a.m., only to discover that it was in quite a messy state. There were visible signs of oil contamination in different areas. We quickly spread out and each person took a designated position so we could collect soil samples from various points and determine the level of contamination.
With our drilling bits, we began drilling into the ground and collecting the required samples. We were still working when it suddenly started raining heavily. We had to rush into the shelter provided at the site. Thankfully, it protected us from the rain until it stopped completely.
After the rain subsided, we came out, gathered all the samples we had collected, loaded them into the vehicles, and began our journey back to the office. On our way back, we encountered heavy traffic since it was already evening and approaching nightfall.
However, the security personnel helped clear the way for us again, making it easier to move through.
Sitting inside one of the vehicles in the convoy and watching how easily we passed through traffic made me reflect. It gave me a certain feeling and made me realize how convenient life can be for those who can afford such arrangements. It inspired me and strengthened my desire to work hard and succeed.
When we got back to the office, we carefully sorted and verified the samples we had collected from the site to ensure everything was complete. After confirmation, we handed them over to the laboratory for proper analysis.
That was how I spent my day. Later, I returned to my residential area. I wasn’t able to eat the food given to me at the cafeteria earlier, so I ate it when I got home. Although it wasn’t quite enough, I managed with it.
Thank you very much for stopping by to read my post. I truly appreciate your time, and I hope to see you in my next update.
Bye for now.
