Sick again!
On my way from Akwaibom State university to Ikotekpene on Saturday evening after my lectures, I boarded a motorbike because that was the easiest and fastest means to get early being that it was already by past 6 pm. I was lucky to see a motorbike that was carrying one person, waiting for the next person to make up 2 persons that they usually carry. The same person is also going to my destination city.
It was easier for me instead of waiting for another passenger. En route, it began to rain. I was already having symptoms of sickness before that day. And because it was getting late, the bike man can't stop, he continued but carefully. All the rain fell on us. But it was able to subside before we could get to put destination. I was cold that night but I still had to continue my movement.
Getting to Aba finally and getting to my house, I just broke down. Well, I took paracetamol which was what I had that night, I managed to freshen up and struggled to sleep but thankfully, I made it till morning. I quickly contacted a pharmacist who asked me few questions and then encouraged me to go for a test. At the end, it was malaria again and typhoid. Well, I will blame it on my travels and change of environment again.
I began treatment immediately to be able to arrest the situation. I was given one big drip and 4 small ones. I was also given injections that lasted for 3 days, then I was given tabs which I am still taking till now. I felt so weak that I couldn't even do my workout for the period. I had severe headache, pains on my body and general body weakness. But as of now, I am getting better. I was unable to move about but I can move now. I am grateful that the Almighty used those medications to help me out.
Yes, we are still living in this world and as such, we are bound to get sick from time to time. But with the help of the Almighty, we are getting healed as we care for ourselves. There are a lot of things that can make one sick. But I am just surprised at the rate I am getting sick these days. Before, I can stay for more than 6 months without being ill. Well, perhaps age and change of environment. Which ever case, I will keep pushing.
I was charged N25000 (268 steem) for my medical bill aside the tests.

I hate medicine with passion now. I breathe and feel it because it's too much. I pray for God's Kingdom when no one will be sick again ( Isaiah 33.24 of the Holy Scriptures).
Health is wealth! I need more suggestions on how to avoid this type of sickness. I need to take some precautions. I was told that it could be the water I drink. But I have changed water. I try as much as possible to be clean. I think food can be a contributing factor. But almost every food is not healthy due to the manner and way the vendors handle them. Can they really be avoided? I don't know! I will keep doing my part.
