Hardinge Bridge, Pabna.

The bridge mentioned in the picture above is the Hardinge Bridge located over the Padma River in Bangladesh. It is a historic and one of the longest railway bridges in Bangladesh, which was inaugurated in 1915. This 1.8-kilometer-long steel truss bridge located between Bheramara in Kushtia and Pakshi in Ishwardi in Pabna was named after the then Viceroy Lord Hardinge. It has been playing an important role in the communication system with the southwestern part of Bengal.

The construction of this bridge, built during the British period, began in 1909, was completed in 1915, and was inaugurated by Lord Hardinge on 4 March 1915. The bridge has a total length of 1.8 km with 15 spans. It is also known as a historical bridge, as it was used by the Pakistani army during the war in 1971. Some spans of the bridge were damaged in the Allied attack at the end of the war, and a fragment of a bomb has been preserved as a memorial.

Last year I went on a family tour with my family, we had some great time at this spectacular bridge. This is a huge red colored bridge, Hardinge Bridge, which is very unique and beautiful to the locals. We spent some time at this bridge, during which I captured some moments on my phone. It was a perfect place for photography, even though I am not a professional photographer, I still managed to capture some beautiful pictures.
