The Diary Game|| October 22,2025|| "First Vegetable Picking and Bonsai Trimming Activities"

Today, I was delighted to pick a vegetable here in my Garden and this is the first harvest of my Siqua Vegetable. Last day, I already posted this vine vegetables but now it is finally and ready to harvest. I was very happy to picked it and I am very proud that I already seen the good fruitful results behind of my hard works and dedications. It was 6 in the morning after I prepared food for our breakfast, I decided to went at the Garden just to checked my planted vegetables there. This is already my morning routine and it helps those plants to keep away from harmful insects like aphids and red ants. Gladly, as I always checked those plants there are no insects living on it and aside of that I also know what are the vegetables are ready to harvest. My Siqua Vegetables grows near at the Guava trees and some of the vegetables are hanging up and I cannot reach it. That is why I used a stick and slowly cut the vine where the Siqua vegetable attached so I can reach it. After a few minutes of doing it, I finally got the first fruit harvest in the Garden.

As I checked it, there are lots of Siqua flowers came out and it will be expected to have lots of vegetables on it. As I counted the flowers it reach ten yellow flowers so it means ten siqua vegetables. After cutting and getting it, I decided to cultivate the soil surround the vine so the roots will expand easily and aside of that Removing the dry leaves helps the plants to grow better. I also carefully and slowly removed those vines lower so I can reach the vegetables when it is time to harvest and gladly My Partner also made a simple bamboo frames. I never expect to have lots of Siqua vegetables here. This plant was already dried due to intense heat and I nearly losing my hope about this plant to survived but luckily it was still survived and now it bares lots of vegetables.

Bonsai Activities:

After checking the Garden, I also brought my bonsai plant inside of the house to use it as an interior decorations. But I noticed that the branches and leaves of the plants are not properly decorated and trimmed that is why I tied it using a tie wires. I slowly tied the branches in nice formations and next I also cut some of the leaves on it. My Grandma teach me how to trimmed and designed bonsai plant and this was my first time to do it and I hope it will have a good result behind of my first time bonsai trimming.

It tooks almost an hour of tying those branches because it really needs to do it slower so the branches wont cut and damage. After that, I wipe those leaves with water and soft clothe so the dust will removed remaining its shinny and glossy views of the leaves.

The Pot is very simple, it is made of solid concrete that I made 15 years already. I wiped it and removed the dust sticking at the Pot's surface and tied it with a wire so it wont be crack when the roots expanding. I carefully placed it at the table so I can easily trimmed and wipe the leaves and after that I started to checked the roots and see what is needed to cut.

This is my 15 year old bonsai balete tree and It grows at the top of the small rocks, one of the nice characteristic of this tree is that it produced lots of small vines and roots everytime when it grows and this was my second activity I did. I checked those vines and roots carefully and I cut some of it specially the roots that already comes out on the concrete pot. I also rolled those small vines and attached it to the branches so it will have a unique design when it contineusly grows.

I also added some rocks and peebles at the pot so it will look very attractive, the principal roots are placed on the rock holes so it will stick at the rocks when it grows and expanded. Bonsai trimming is not quite and easy job and it requires fucos and time by doing it. After that, I carefully placed at the corner of our balcony.

Watering My Ornamental Plants:

After that, I also watered my plants at the terrace. I decided to put some of my ornamental plants at the terrace so it will keep away from harmful animals like chicken and dogs. I asked my partner to bring a pail of water at the terrace so I can started to watered it. There are almost 50 different kinds of ornamental plants I placed here at the terrace and it will gives a great and colorful views here in our house. My Activities tooks a few hours and gladly I successfully finished it. Until next posts, have a nice day to everyone.
