SLC-S33/W6 | Our Surroundings: Let´s Talk About The News - How has traffic been in your region

in Steem Spaceyesterday

Assalamu Alaikum friends. Today I am here to participate in a wonderful Steemit challenge competition organized by @kibreay001 & @adeljose. The Topic of this challenge is SLC-S33/W6 | Our Surroundings: Let´s Talk About The News - How has traffic been in your region. So let's get started.

How would you describe the general traffic flow in your region during peak hours? Are there significant differences in traffic between weekdays and weekends?

There are various types of vehicles plying in our city. I mainly live in both urban and rural areas. That is why I am used to using all types of vehicles. However, most of the time I use auto rickshaws to move around in our rural areas and buses to go from one end of the city to another far away place.

When I spend time on the Dhaka-Tangail highway, I see big buses, trucks, etc., which ply on this road all the time. However, on weekends, there is less traffic jam on the roads because people live in their homes and there are no office hours, so there is less crowd of people. That is why only a few people wait at the bus stop. However, most of the time, people prefer to go by bus.

What are the conditions of the main roads in terms of maintenance and signage?

In terms of maintenance and direction, the main roads in our area are very well maintained and well managed. Especially the highway which we know as Dhaka-Tangail Highway is very well managed. Especially it is kept clean and there is an overbridge to go from one end of the road to the other. There is less traffic jam on the roads during the holidays, so people move around a little in their own vehicles.

The road system we have here is a four-lane road. You can see the line on the left, it goes directly from Dhaka to Tangail. Then the road you see on the right, it goes from Tangail to Dhaka. There are many types of traffic lights and directions in the middle of the road. People are crossing the overbridge as a safety measure.

What is the current state of traffic signs and traffic lights in your area?

The traffic lights where I live are in fairly good condition because no additional traffic lights have been used here. The only city in Bangladesh that uses the most traffic lights is Dhaka. Because there is more movement of people and more vehicles. That is why the traffic lights in Dhaka city are of very high quality and nicely set up. AI cameras have been installed at every place. The traffic laws in this area where I live are very well managed. Because everyone follows the traffic laws.

Where I was standing, there is an overbridge because of which people are crossing from one side of the road to the other in an orderly manner through this overbridge because people now give more priority to safety. When the bus stops at the bus stop, people board the bus according to the serial. It is an orderly environment.

What types of vehicles are most prevalent on the main roads in your region?

In the area where I live, all types of vehicles are used. When we go from one end of the city to the other, we use big buses. There are different types of buses. Long-distance buses are used here and there are big trucks for carrying goods. Apart from that, private cars are used as special vehicles. Apart from that, when I enter the city from the countryside, I travel in auto rickshaws.

However, auto rickshaws are sometimes seen on the highway. These auto rickshaws travel on one side of the road. Especially on the right side of the road, there is a small line through which auto rickshaws come and go. However, bikes and auto rickshaws are seen more on the highway. The bikes are owned and rented. The auto rickshaws are rented on a proprietary basis. The fares of the busco auto rickshaws vary.

How would you describe the driving culture in your region? Are drivers responsible behind the wheel?

There are many countries in Asia where drivers are not very responsible because they consider themselves to be pilots of airplanes. That is why many accidents happen in every place in Bangladesh. However, sometimes accidents also happen because of other people on the road. However, our drivers in Bangladesh have become much more aware than before. Now they use seat belts, do not use mobile phones while driving, and also obey traffic laws.

Currently, traffic laws in Bangladesh have become very strict. Especially in different places, fines have been arranged. Therefore, no one disobeys traffic laws for fear of additional cases. After setting AI cameras at different signals, automatic case laws have been introduced, so there has been a lot of awareness in the morning. Drivers of all vehicles such as buses, trucks, bikes drive carefully on highways.

The place where I was standing is located a little outside Mirzapur city. I sometimes go here to pass the time. I have a very nice time standing in the over bridge. People from different areas come here in the afternoon to enjoy this beautiful view.

Especially when vehicles are passing from one side of the road to the other, that view looks wonderful. Besides, I was standing on the over bridge and enjoying the view of the sunset in front very beautifully. When the sun was setting behind the building in front, I captured that view. I took some scenic pictures in this busy traffic environment.

The fact that the overbridge at Mirzapur Mill Gate bus stand is such a great point to watch the sunset is very well highlighted in your article. I enjoyed reading about the orderly traffic system on the Dhaka-Tangail four-lane highway and the habit of people using the overbridge. I think that having a separate lane for auto-rickshaws on the highway is playing a big role in reducing accidents, which should be the case on all highways. However, even though the awareness of drivers in our country has increased more than before, if AI cameras and strict law enforcement are in place everywhere, the roads will become safer. Best wishes to you in this contest. 😊
