Weekly Power up // Powering up 1000 Steem
Hello to the community, I hope everyone is doing great!!
Well, it's been a while since I shared a power-up post, eventhough I regularly do the process. With the current condition of Steem Prices, I thought it might be good to have a small promotion once again.
Well, we know powering up means converting our liquid steem to Steem Power. Just like we have a fixed deposit, it's an investment that helps in both ways. The process is not a big deal. So, let's see how it's done.
Power up process
- Go to your wallet and log in with the posting key.
Before Power Up
- Go to your wallet and log in with the posting key. As shown in the screenshot below, we can see our liquid steem, and amound of steem power.
- There's a drop-down menu in front of the Steem balance, and you can see the power-up option there. Click it.
1000 STEEM POWER-UP
- In the next window, type the amount you need to power up from the available balance, and use the active key to confirm it.
After Power Up
- It doesn't take long to finalize the process.
Before Power Up - 1679.288 Steem, 38,591.378 SP
Amount Power up - 1000 Steem
After Power Up - 679.288 Steem, 39,591.378 SP
The importance of Power Up
Well, as I said, this is not just a process for fun. There are many important things in it.
To grow my account - Most of us begin from nothing here. As we create better content, we also need to strengthen our account. A higher level of Steem Power shows consistency and helps build a solid reputation in the community.
Greater voting power - More Steem Power means stronger votes. We can support others in a more meaningful way, and in return, we receive better curation rewards.
Delegation - We can delegate part of our Steem Power to help communities grow and keep them active.
Eligibility for opportunities - Roles such as curator, community moderator, usually require a certain amount of Steem Power.

So, I guess you get the idea!
Until the next time! Enjoy!
Thank you.
