We Have a New Formula 1 Championship Leader, but...
This year's Formula 1 Championship is hotter than ever. Last year was an easy win for Max Verstappen. But this year, there are clearly 3 championship contenders battling for the ultimate pinnacle in Motorsport.
For most of the part of the championship, until today 3:00 AM, McLaren's Oscar Piastri was the championship leader. Since he was unable to end Mexican Grand Prix at a position higher than P4, his spot was stolen by his teammate, Lando Norris.
The Englishman won the Mexican Grand Prix in a very easy, having a 30 second clearance with P2, Charles Leclerc. Him and Max Verstappen battled for P2 in last few laps but the Virtual Safety Car saved the day for Leclerc.
In the interim, starting at P9, Ollie Bearman jumped to P3 at the start thanks to the mess made by Lewis Hamilton. I mean, he had warned Norris before the race saying he has nothing to lose but some does. But his actions didn't affect Norris's lead from the get go.
Anyway, 20 races are done. 4 to go. Still, Oscar Piastri can claim the throne. Actually, I want him to win and most of F1 fans don't want Lando Norris on the top. It was visible at Mexico today. There were booing for him when the went to the podium. Brazilian Grand Prix is 2 weeks away. Let's see what's gonna happen.
