Grandparents' vacation: A wonderful memory

Assalamu Alaikum. Greetings Sri Lankan community. How are you all? I hope that by the grace of Allah, you are all doing well. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am also doing well. I pray to the Creator that we are always doing well.

Today I want to write a story about childhood memories for you. Basically, childhood is always sweet and memories always give us joy in childhood. All the moments that happen to us during childhood are very pleasant for us.

I still remember them very well. When school holidays were over and winter vacations were given, those times were very wonderful. Especially when holidays were given in childhood, I would take my winter clothes and leave for my grandmother's house.

I loved going to my grandmother's house a lot. Since my elderly grandparents were alive at that time. After going to my grandparents' place, my grandmother would give me some money in my hand to go to the market and buy something to eat. The small 10 taka at that time is now like a thousand taka. Back then, it was possible to be happy with 10 taka, but now, even if you get 10,000 taka, that happiness no longer comes to mind. Because the joys of childhood were truly wonderful.

After going to my grandparents' house, I would wake up early in the morning. I would sleep for a long time while I was at home. However, when my grandmother visited my house, I would wake up early in the morning.

Many mornings when I woke up, I didn't want to sleep anymore. I felt restless to go outside. After waking up in the mild winter, there was a small bridge nearby. I would go and sit on the bridge and I liked it a lot more then.

After a while, I would go with my cousins to steal plums. There are a lot of plum trees in my grandparents' area. Birds would eat plums from the big trees in the morning. When the remaining plums were lying on the ground after eating the plums, it was really fun to go and pick plums with my cousins.

I would plant plums and sometimes the owner of the plum tree would give us a run. We would return home with a run.

After returning home, our uncles or grandparents would scold us a lot. Why haven't we finished eating yet? Where have we been all this time? We would be asked all these questions.

Anyway, at one point, we would finish our breakfast with great joy and then we would go out to shoot birds. We would go to various mango trees, small forests or agricultural lands with our cousins to catch birds. It was much better to see bird nests and it was a different kind of fun to catch birds in the forest.

I liked the sight of black smoke coming out of the brick kilns the most. From the road, we used to see how many brick kilns there were around. It was quite nice to see. Because the smoke was coming out of the brick kilns and it seemed to be going in sync with the sky. I liked it a lot more and had a lot of fun.

I especially liked playing Latin with my younger cousins. The acacia tree is the most suitable for making Latim. I used to climb big trees and collect wood to make Latim

Basically, these childhood memories were very pleasant. Moreover, I used to bathe in a big pond in the afternoon and sometimes I would get a fever.

Basically, these childhood memories still give me a lot of joy. Childhood is very sweet and I always remember the memories of my childhood.

Finally, I am happy to write a post to you about childhood memories. Did you also go to your grandparents' house on vacation in your childhood? If childhood memories bring you joy, then definitely don't forget to write a post about childhood memories in the Sri Lankan community. Thank you very much for staying with the Sri Lankan community and also for enjoying my blog about childhood memories today.
