Assalamu Alaikum. Greetings Sri Lankan community. How are you all? I hope that by the grace of Allah, you are all doing well. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am also doing well. I pray to Allah that we are always well.

Today I want to talk to you about raising chickens. Basically, some time ago, I decided to raise chickens. For this, I went to the market and built a house to keep chickens. I bought a house to keep chickens for 600 taka and I looked for local chickens in the vicinity.

At one point, I collected four local breed chickens from a house and I started raising and caring for those chickens.

I bought a total of four chickens. One of them was white and one was black. I looked after the chickens constantly and made sure that they were not attacked in any way.

After several months, my rooster grew a lot. I was very impressed by such a beautiful rooster and the beauty of the red-colored rooster. Originally, I had three other chickens and the rooster was their leader.

I fed and cared for the chickens with great joy. Because I know that taking care of them can bring success in anything.

Finally, after several days, I saw a chicken sitting inside its house. Chickens usually do not come out except during the day. When I saw the chicken staying inside the house, I saw an egg under its belly. I was very happy because my newly bought chicken had already started laying eggs.

I started taking care of the chicken constantly. I took care of all the other chickens, but I took special care of the chicken that started laying eggs.

My chicken laid a total of 10 eggs when it was first born. We ate two of them and left the chicken with the remaining eight eggs in a specific place to raise the chicks. I made a special place in a corner of the house and the chicken was busy with the work of incubating the eggs.

While the chicks were hatching, I took a new step. The other chickens in the neighborhood were getting sick. So I sold my big rooster for 420 taka per kg and 470 taka. I had already started to become financially independent.

After about 25 days, a chicken was busy hatching from the eggs. Finally, I was able to collect chicks from 9 eggs and my success has already begun.

Now I have about 15 chickens, both small and large. I started raising chickens from a very young age. Raising indigenous chickens is a very profitable business or you can take this initiative and get success if you want.
