Blocktivity.info shows Steem is still the MOST active Blockchain on EARTH. Also Ethereum is very much overloaded & can barely handle not even 1 million transactions a day. Ethereum Capacity Utilization Index is in the red & at capacity! EOS will save ETH
Here on https://blocktivity.info we see STEEM has the highest number transaction of any Blockchain in the known universe, Then Bitshares is the next most active Blockchain on average but here we see Ethereum is #2 and spiked and is over capacity. It's capacity utilization index is way over its limits so expect ETH to be expensive and laggy! When EOS comes out it will dominate this list and be at #1 forever with Steem in perpetual #2 until EOS forks come out then this list will just be EOS and then EOS forks! :D But until EOS comes out, only STEEM will be #1 and so far we have NO social media blockchain competitors!

Wow see how much easier Bitshares and Steem are for sharing Deposit Addresses? You can send MONEY with an ACCOUNT NAME! You need a Deposit Address that you cannot remember with Bitcoin or Ethereum. Typically when people think about the word blockchain the first thing that pops into their mind is BITCOIN. Of course there are many different blockchains out there and even newer technologies (such as DAG and block lattice) all competing for their share of the crypto markets. However, since Bitcoin has the First Mover Advantage in this industry it still gets the most recognition among media outlets and newer investors. It also receives the majority of investment and market share at this point in time.
