Steem and DPOS blockchains like Bitshares Golos and soon EOS are so energy efficient that you can run steem blockchain off 21 rasberry pi computers nodes & a few solar panels about this big. Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum they need massive power bills.

Heyyy this is a interesting idea; mixing steem technology with solar energy!! we could have nodes forever!!

in other subject

you remember when you told me to buy food with the steemit earnings and show it?

i had in mind to give that idea to a woman in needed with his two daugthers with who i were recently working to join her to steemit so she could receive that benefit for good(i know she is really struggling here in venezuela) and then something like from the destiny happened, every got in right time and place for all.

This is the potential of steemit to help in people's life

I Upvoted & resteemed your post like I promised!

Thanks for following up!

Thaaanks you so much!!! that will help a lot to that lady and his two daughters!

Wao very beautiful house & sollar panels are looking awesome thanks @ackza for this super post .

Thats an important info rightly delivered. Thanks @ackza

this is really good post..I like this post..I also appreciate this post...thanks a lot sharing this...

Here is a Video by @fyrtsikken that explains how much faster steem is, when Bitcoin uses all this eelctric power from all over the world and its sooo slow (haha mem poolis full haha )

and here is his explanation inspiration for my post, he explains how Steem really is the MOST energy efficient Blockchain (Golos is also very energy efficient, just as much as steem of course as it is a

Steem and Golos cost the least amount to run entire blockchains

Good point

They will serve to make available

It's really great to know that the Steem Ecosystem is so energy efficient. Thanks for sharing this informative post with us. 🙂

Okay, I need an IT idiot's instruction of running a steem node using a raspberry Pi. I never thought if was possible as i assumed Steem Blockchain need serious RAMs but this is game changing!

Any tutorial posts around?

it wint be able to compete with modern steem infrastructure, I was goinna add to my post that you could run steem like that but we don't because it would be too slow, but the whole transaction aspect and having a working money system, not the blog chain, the blockchain part that would all work, hosting the socila media site that's all super ram intensive but hosting the steem cryptocurrency you could do with just 21 rasberry pi computers

I don't know why youd want to run the steem node or a witness node you oprobly wouldn't get any blocks :D u need to get voted in as a witness,

you are better off with the steem pi
t

LOL wow I looked up running steem witness node on rasbery pi and youre in so much luck because @inertia wrote a freakin post about it 2 years ago LOLOL

https://steemit.com/raspberrypi/@inertia/running-steemd-on-raspberry-why

and he has a specific reason for wanting one not to like try to mine steem or anything, hah the idea of mining steem is also funny

anyway its way cooler to have this steem pi

Thank @yandot for bringing this to my attention on the https://steemspeak.com discord chat

How embarrassing. I thought secp256k1 was a test suite back then. smh

Doing it for educational purposes i guess. Plus it would be kinda cool to have a copy of the steem blockchain... if it even can be done.

I liked it.I also appreciate this post. Thanks a lot for sharing this valuable post.

We use solar panels because we do not have electricity in our house.
