I'm thinking about making a "challenge" thingy here on steemit

I've been thinking about it for a while now actually, I wanted to figure out something I could do similar to how a lot of these other people are sort of making a niche for themselves in certain areas.
papapepper has done amazingly well with his contests, and I'm sure the others who have created their own forms have done well as well.

It seems like a great way to both give back to the community and to help newcomers with a little extra steem or SBD, and also a way for you yourself to gain more traction as well since people tend to love free stuff! Or.. Rewards for challenges or puzzles they have completed and things like that!

I've got a decent amount of steem so while I can't offer some amazing rewards like others on this platform, I can definitely do a little something something..

Still not sure exactly what the subject is going to be, though I'm leaning in the direction of a challenge that changes, like one week it might be a photography challenge, the next a poetry, the next a research assignment or to write up an essay on a given subject and the next perhaps a meme challenge or something like that..

I'm not really sure yet, but I've got some interesting ideas and I'm thinking about it a lot! I also used to run a photography challenge on Facebook that was at one point in time decently popular, so I do have some experience here already and kinda wish I woulda jumped on the "challenge" thing sooner, yet.. It is what it is..

I'm not an expert at this platform and I'm learning as I go and there's a lot of information to take in and process and I'm sorta going at my own pace.
Though now I think it's time to step up my game a bit. And.. Use Facebook much less, and steemit much more.

And before you tell me to quit Facebook like I hear somewhat often, I have a good amount of great friends and family members that I keep in touch with on there.. So I don't wanna quit completely yet or ever as long as there are important people there, I'm just not going to use it nearly as much and use it more just to keep in touch with those people, and also to cross network a bit as well and share things from steemit or whatever.

I'm still gonna use Facebook, it's just.. Become so trivial now with the censorship and the limiting of peoples reach down to like less than 1% of their feed.
I used to get decent numbers and now my page as well as many others have turned into virtual ghost towns sort of.. It's really sad to see how much they've fucked that system up.

I think the reach rate used to be around 16% if I remember correctly? It wasn't so bad then! Now it's like less than 1%!!!!
My suspicions are they want people to pay for advertising, but here on steemit.. I get paid! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which one is more worth my time.

Anyways.. To anyone who happens to read this.. If I made a challenge like what I mentioned where it's different subjects like photography and puzzles and poetry and memes for different weeks, would you be interested in participating?

The rewards will probably be much smaller at first, though I think in time if they become more popular the rewards will as well, especially if I put all of the money earned from the challenge posts into like the.. "Ultimate grand prize" or whatever which I do plan on doing.

Also.. If you have any good advice in regards to challenges in general and this subject, please feel free to share! I would appreciate any extra information or knowledge on this kinda stuff.

PS.. I already had ideas of doing something like this, BUT.. I was majorly inspired and encouraged by fellow steemian @tonyr who is one of my favorite people on here and I suggest you check out his blog if you have some time and see if you like the content he shares. He does a few challenges on his page as well!
