RE: A better way then 50/50 reward splits and downvotes

Tags. That's why we have tags. There's a difference between using the site and having a desire to join the site. Many people might use it for years before they decide to join, and even then it's predicated by why they join, was it because of some members only area, did they want to leave a comment, etc.. To get people interested in powering up they must see good content, not shit, that is rewarded, not overpriced (which makes it shit regardless of how "quality" / "gold" it is) and to get to that point no amount of "look at all these other items" will change that. I really mean that, you think that your suggestions will do that or are comparable to what the EIP proposal? What is it about your suggestions that would achieve on-boarding of users, because we already have tags, which are extremely visible and accessible and intuitive, and I don't understand how you expect authors to "row" with the ads as if that's why people will power up, when the authors are shamelessly shilling the advertisers..

We do have tags - but Steemit could do a better job of driving people deeper into the site.

Many people might use it for years before they decide to join, and even then it's predicated by why they join, was it because of some members only area, did they want to leave a comment, etc.. To get people interested in powering up they must see good content,

On this we agree.

I simply believe:

  • we are better off trying to get more people to the site - knowing only a percentage will power up
  • once they are there, we can do a better job exposing content to them THEY value and are more likely to want to interact with and so join and power up
  • acknowledge good content has a life of more than 7 days

Note my suggestions are focused on the content - not shifting the chairs around on the titanic by tweaking reward percentages or free downvotes.

Driving people deeper into the site is Idiotic. Who wants to see more overpaid shit content you fucktard? Who wants to see good content receiving nothing? Idiot.

Let's get more people to the site even though they will be turned off from joining because of the scummy nature of how rewards are distributed. Idiot. Let me repeat myself once again for your idiotic nobrain self: the problem is onboarding users. If you solve that problem you create more traffic. You can throw all the traffic you want but nobody will power up if the reward distribution isn't fixed. Either way you fucktard idiot, if you think your suggestions solve the sinking of the Titanic but the EIP is shuffling deck chairs around then you are a monumentally dumb.

I like how you think you can chop what I said up and say we agree, leaving out the most important point. No fucktard scumbag, people will not power up simply because there's good content, they will only power up if they see that good content gets rewarded and that shit content is not rewarded, unless they are intrigued by how to scam like yourself with useless Ta and self voting, then it won't make a difference what content exist because they aren't interested in that at all, only in paying themselves.

Fuckshit we do not agree, if I am in the same vicinity as you are the fucking universe would implode.
