Looking good also I would expect the lower steem prices allow for more people to enter into steem and buy it. I know I picked up almost 5k and working towards more!
That could be a cause of the shift. The fact that the price of STEEM dropped is enabling the smaller accounts to add a significant amount to their stake. $500 doesnt add much to an account with 100K SP...but it is huge to a Minnow. Perhaps a number of smaller accounts are using the low STEEM price to add.
I think that is certainly part of the equation.
