How to Become an Investor on Steemit; Easy ways to Invest and still have earnings to withdraw
Invest your steem on steemit.
A couple of days ago I did a post on the need to become investors on the steemit platform.
The post was directed to Africans particularly Nigerians. Not because I feel only Nigerians are to become investors, but there is the need for Nigerians to become investors on the steemit platform so as to add more value and also support the fast growing Nigeria community on steemit.
Sometimes, you want to ask why would you invest, rather than just post, earn and withdraw payout. After all, its your money. You earned it, so why not spend it?
Well, its good to just earn and withdraw. We all have needs for our fund. Knowing fully well what the situation of the Nigerian economy is like and one of the reasons we are on steemit.
I do understand, hence I am making this post to shows us some ways we can invest without giving up all of our earnings.
On this post, I will be talking about one of the ways to consider for investing on Steemit to become an investor.
Power Down:
Do not Power Down; Many times we are tempted to power down our SP. This is because we actually have the need for money. And because we do not have much earnings we tend to turn to the next option, which is to power down.
Now, let me tell you, powering down will give you immediate earning, but will reduce your earnings in the long run.
Who told you your 100 SP does not count. My dear steemian, even, 50SP counts. Because another 50 would add up to 100 and 150, 200,300, 500, and so on.
The more SP you have the more value your votes get and the more money you are saving.
How does powering down affects the price of steem:
Powering down SP means liquidating to steem. Which means more steem supply, hereby reducing the ratio of steem supply:demand. This automatically, affects the price of steem, as the demand will tend to be lower than the supply.
However, imagine a scenario where the demand is higher, there will be an increase in price as people will tend to want to pay higher to get it.
In case you don't know the potentials steem has. Steem has its own blockchain, very reliable, fast with easy confirmed transactions. And with the SMT, there will be many tokens launched on the steem blockchain. This means there will be more demand for steem in the future than what it is now.
Now you can see and agree with me that holding your steem, will give you more payout and even more value for your steem in the long run.
It may look slow and not feel like it is adding up, but believe me, every 0.1sp add up and makes that 1k, 5k, 10k, 20k SP that you desire to have. And even add up to the whale SP.
Now if you powerdown, who will become the whale that will support the newbies that are coming in?
Oh, I have been powering down, is too late now;
No is not, you can stop the power down, and start building your SP. Building SP is an investment that gives you a future. It is a life time investment. Think it through and apply it. You will smile knowing you have a secured future.
I hope you have been able to get an understanding of the need to keep your SP and not power down.
In my next post, I will talk about another way to invest. Please do good to follow up on my blog to get more on becoming an investor on steemit.

Thanks @ceepee for this piece initially I used to think powering down had a diverse effect on the reputation so it became a no go area for me and when i also learnt it takes months, im always like then whats the need why do I need it.
But recently when I realised that was not the case at a point i got tempted to, but later on when I noticed the sp earned from post payout is becoming less as steem price increases I realised powering down is really not a wise decision.
Blog earn and invest
I just learnt a lot on steemit of recent and I'd say my journey on steemit just began
Honestly, those tiny sp we get as reward after seven days, adds up to something. If only we take note of it and make a good inventory of them.
Nice advice. Thanks @ceepee. Pls keep it up.
