Searching deeper into Steem.
Hey guys, I would like to share one more. I see Steem as a tree and Steemit as one of the many potential branches of that tree.
How an escrow service could be incorporated into the blockchain, I'm not sure, but perhaps it's just a matter of semantics. After all, a coin wallet isn't actually a wallet; is it? As I understand, it's a private key, which gives you access to your funds on the blockchain. But we call it a wallet, because the concept of a wallet is familiar and easy to comprehend. Another example would be a Bitcoin ATM. It's not actually an ATM and works nothing like one, but for the same reason of familiarity, that's what they have been called.
"I don’t know the rules of grammar… If you’re trying to persuade people to do something, or buy something, it seems to me you should use their language, the language they use every day, the language in which they think.”
– David Ogilvy
Ultimately, it is simplicity that we should be striving towards, simplification and clarification, using familiar phrases, terms and language. Let us spread the message, using the syntax of the masses and not the code of the developers, and let us spread that message far and wide.
So the next time one of your non-crypto buddies, asks about Steem or any aspect of cryptocurrency, look at them like they're a 6 year old child and simply explain.
