I'm currently on holiday in the "famous" Black Forest. To be honest, I don't miss checking Steemit every day at all. I hope this "online fast" continues to have a lasting effect.
I miss my animals very much. But I think at least Böckchen and Nücki are waiting for me a little bit too... 😉
When I hear “Black Forest,” I’m reminded of Freiburg - a really nice city with a sort of Amsterdam vibe (at least from the videos I’ve seen).
Strange, isn’t it? (Or is it?) That something we once loved is now something we feel we have to get away from… Personally, I don’t want to check Steemit every day - I like to think I’m building anticipation 🙂
Böckchen’s woolly again; I don’t see his harness, though. Btw, is Böckchen a 'Shaun the Sheep' breed? (sorry, it's way eaiser to say shaun the sheep than actual breed 😅)

I didn't see Freiburg, even though I was strongly advised to visit it because it's so beautiful. To be honest, I didn't visit any cities. I was always in the forest, outdoors, in nature – hiking, hiking, hiking. And in the spa in the evenings... 😇
Well, eight years is quite a long time (I swear: online every day, even if it was just to quickly check my feed (without reading)). It would be rather strange if my interests hadn't changed at all during that time... 😉
Böckchen only has to wear his harness when he's at work... Most of the time he has time off, weekends, holidays... 😁
Nücki isn't strict. He's just very clever and weighs everything up very carefully. In the flock, he's known as 'The Brain'. And rightly so...
Both rams are crossbreeds: East Frisian milk sheep & Texel. Texel sheep were bred solely for meat production. This breed makes up the majority of sheep here. Perhaps a Shawn... 😉
Well, we belong in nature. And that's how it should be.

As for me, I’m just starting to stumble upon little gems that really click with me. It’s like seeing Steemit in a new light.
And Böckchen - he's got the best of both worlds: work-life balance, a great employer, free food and lodging. Much respect for Nücki. He’s definitely my kind of guy. 😌
I’ve been watching way too many lamb videos lately… but I think it’s good for the soul... I envy you - getting to see it in the flesh must be something else.
