Steem suffers from bad PR and spammers. Many community members are putting in the effort to change this image and combat bad actors. With the continuing development of dapps and we passionate people we will succeed.
Hopefully. I would like to see steemit,inc raise some money from investors and then use that to get some exciting things built. Hoping developers build cool stuff on here for free is not likely to work out.
