I hope that the DIP does not limit developers to the front end projects only but also encourage them to improve the Steem blockchain code so that new development implementation is easy for the developers (SMTs, NFTs, and etc).
It will be interesting to see the full details when they are released.
$350K is a lot of money just to work on steemit.com.
