I'm not going to be withdrawing my Steem any time soon but was curious..do we always have to convert it first to bitcoin before being able to withdraw to our bank accounts?
that depends on the crypto exchange you got linked to your bank account. But most gateway exchanges will also deal in ethereum so that could be an option for you depending on what exchange you use
