Peerplays crowdfund free with steemdollars

I was listening to the peerplays people on youtube talk about there crowdfund. They were saying because steem dollars trade at a surplus to the dollar you would be able to get thier tokens for free. In my mind that is speculaion done right. I wont lie and say i am big on gambling and thier token says that you will get a percentage of that take forever.

My balance says I have 20 something cents worth so right now unless I figure ouf how to get more of the quick I am going to miss out. That is clearly speculation done right unless steem dollars are not realy tied to steem
