Setting proxy or individual witness vote will not directly give any benefit. It polish your presence in Steem. You will become a demanding person and can join other witnesses to achieve a goal.
For example if you join a dApp SteemPro as a supporter who motivate the quality content creator with good vote can benefit you with curation reward as well as the reward by the witness team.
