i do agree that bypassing BTC would in certain cases facilitate transactions for steemians and inspire some to get involve more easily but lets not forget that this cryptospace has been created and nurtured in a give and take by the mother tree (BTC) which is the middle of this eco-system. All other coins are a fruit from this tree,, yes there are other trees growing but none have deep roots such as BTC at this point in time
Having only Bitcoin at the center of the crypto ecosystem makes the crypto ecosystem centralised in some way.
Decentralisation should be the main goal.
