[Watering the Garden] Could what I love most about STEEM be the Secret to its Future Success?

Watering the Money Tree

I love that in the initial stages of STEEM, I have been able to store away the value of my holdings and in turn receive the "special power" to inject shares in steem into various contributors' pockets. At this stage I do spend quite a bit of time reading posts and sometimes I even respond, but overall I just like to upvote decent content.

The reason why is simple to be honest...I love mining for the most valuable form of gold that exists---golden thoughts, passions and actions that bring humanity to higher levels of creation. And at this early stage, putting funds into any new users' wallets is only going to be a good thing as the user base rises.

Social mining is what I do on Steem. I upvote the stuff that looks good to me, but then I go out and intentionally upvote some stuff that isn't amazing but comes from an account that seems new or hasn't made any prior posts. I do this because I believe for those users to want to stay, they need to have at least a little bit more than 3 dollars of initial stake given to them for joining & participating this early on.

The next stage is going to be even better though...when I put 95% of all the money earned right back into more steempower---which will only empower me to pour more tokens into the hands of valuable content creators and other community members.

Steempower is a Beautiful thing and I wholeheartedly believe that in the earliest stages of steem's growth if all users try to share value with one-another regardless of their chances at receiving a high payout, simply to give a few dollars to someone who tried...we will reach the next tiers of growth relatively quickly. :)

Excellent perspective. Thanks for sharing as a reminder to many of us.

I've found there's a wide variety of content here - some great, a lot not so much. I also get sidetracked into thinking of the game more economically sometimes - which I'm sure a lot others experience too - focusing more on the dollar signs rather than the value aspect here...

Your perspective is inspiring, to realign focus back to the founding philosophy for the site - it is about value. And that doesn't mean just what'll get the most votes - but as you say, the gold is in the thoughts, the passions, the actions.

The more we focus on producing THAT kind of gold, the greater a goldmine this site will become.

So your post - whether intended or not - is an excellent call-to-action for all to step up their game in producing that kind of gold, outright stating that's what you're ready to throw down on and support. And in itself, those thoughts and the passion in your post IS a fine example of such gold.

😊👌🏼🙏

Wow, just wow! Came here to thank you for upvoting my pathetically lame newbie post. It is people like you that really GROWS the Steem community! You have inspired me to think about adding a lot more substance and value to my next posts! :)

Oops! Apologies, this was supposed to be a reply to the main post by fuzzyvest. Doh!

I couldn't agree more fuzzy

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. A few dollars would indeed provide some joy to some writers.

"valuable form of gold that exists---golden thoughts, passions and actions that bring humanity to higher levels of creation. "
I feel the same way! I am beginning to see things in your perspective too. It's really a unique structure, and I feel grateful that such a gift of infrastructure has been given to us. @dantheman's leadership, I believe is extremely valuable. I know I've learned a lot so far.
Like you, I try to mine the obscure but quality posts even those that don't have a lot of upvotes. It can be devastating for new people to not have any upvotes.

100% agreed stella.

"I love mining for the most valuable form of gold that exists---golden thoughts, passions and actions that bring humanity to higher levels of creation" - YES! Wonderful post! I think this is what is so unique about steemit and why its potential is huge. Taking a Foucauldian perspective, the state has monopolized thoughts to control power, and it is our job to take back our own autonomy over the creation of knowledge.

steem is bound to change our lives. call it a game changer if you will

watch it grow!
Definitely the most powerful force in the universe #compounding @fuzzyvest

Your attitude is worth attention, especially what you do for the new accounts:) upvote

That's very generous of you fuzzy! Appreciate it if you can give a lil guidance on my blog? It's all about Japan! Nothing but... JAPAN!

wow I wake up to see more seeds to water! :D
