RE: More Great Things to Come

I care very much to protect your ability to speak freely, but that does not mean I will support you if you act like a dick with that freedom.

You're trying to make me sound like the person without principles, but what am I saying? I never said the fork is a terrible thing, I never said you all don't have the right to do it.

I merely have called out behavior that aims to go after people that are happy to stay here and act as witnesses. I merely spoke out against behavior that seems to me like a disgruntled employee breaking things in the office on their way out. That's unprincipled?

As for the downvotes, my issue with them is that they are antagonistic and I believe are damaging to the objective of building a thriving community. I could argue against downvotes on moral grounds, but my argument has always been that it is a stupid policy from a business perspective.

Now, when people go around insulting and attacking the asset I have on exchanges, that I want to go up, and I can reduce their impact even if only a little by pushing a button, why would I not?

Steemit Inc is a business, and it shows. Steem is not and has never been. It's open source and a fork is a necessary security mechanism in this.
