Steem is like two sides of a wall

Steem is like two sides of a wall. There's three places that you can exist.

  1. On the side that powers up and builds their stake.
  2. On the side that powers down their existing stake.
  3. Sitting on top of the wall, collecting the rocks thrown by people on either side of the wall.

There's only a few things you can do with your STEEM

  1. Power it up and have a better say in who gets new STEEM
  2. Turn it into fiat currency
  3. Purchase Steem Monsters or get other digital / physical goods by dealing with Steemians.

What are you here to do?

I'm here to amass a fortune in STEEM tokens so that when the time comes, I won't need do anything else. I'll be able to, with a single upvote, feed that artist who produces prolific volumes of work for a week. I can come back the next day and do that all over again.

I could do that over the course of a few weeks, and get a custom work commissioned by them.

Or, when the local pizza shop is online, I can throw them an upvote, and 7 days later, when they claim rewards, get a tasty, tasty pizza.

While we have 3 second block times, its 7 days before anything happens

Action, Locked into the Chain, Then 7 days later, reaction - distribution of funds, based on the consensus of everyone who has happened upon your intent (by voting) to give the votee some portion of the reward pool in 7 days time after they wrote their post.

Community

This is what it is all about, whether you're into brushing your teeth with bubblegum, freedom, music, art, photography, gaming, blogging, making videos, or trolling in the comments.

I stand by this ever increasing wall of STEEM, and I know I'm on the side that is powered up, and I'm running out of things to throw stones at. I haven't self-upvoted for quite some time; and for all 4c it is worth (outside of my outgoing delegations) - it isn't worth it.

I'm here to collect as much STEEM as possible, give as much of myself as possible, and help the height of this wall grow ever skyward with each and ever block that is added to it.

I don't think of STEEM as a blockchain, I think of it as a Block-wall - where each and every post is an interlocking block into the conciousness of this community, its people, and its hearbeat.

Sort:

I stopped self upvoting a while ago, and it's good to see that number sitting at 0%. I had a large incoming delegation, for a month, and it was great to see steembottracker's view of my wallet (link in my post about Tools For Steemians) ticking over.

It also gave me the confidence to delegate SP to a few projects that are generating very small daily returns, which I am powering up and hopefully will have a snowball effect over time.

Eventually I will raise the delegation amount for greater and faster returns. Some pay hourly.

I get why some would power down, and I think it's a for quick FIAT for bills or whatever. But they could be funneling it into hidden accounts. Who knows?

(I've seen a bit of that too!).

A $0.04 upvote might not seem like much now but it can make all the difference to those, like myself, are at the Minnow level.

My goal is to be Dolphin before whatever happens for the Christmas party here. I'm going to need every upvote I can get!

With the price of STEEM what it is... dolphin by xmas should be doable for anyone!

I could have bought into it last xmas, but I am glad I didn't as I need the FIAT.
I meant just by earning it rather than buying into it. But I'll see how I go.

The power of SP can change people's lives for the better. This is what it was sort of meant for.

If you leave comments on aome of the Steem Hunt finds, some of the author rewards were like $0.50 steem.

Also on the same side. With some popcorn to watch all the development of what's going on.

Steem on :).

Now that raises possibilities that Inhad never even considered. Not so much using Steem or SBD as the commodity for the transaction, but the vote itself. You Sir, are a visionary.

@holoz0r, In my opinion in this post you've shared some known facts but you've also shared some perspective which really gave me pleasant and motivating essence while reading. Stay blessed. 🙂

I am here to generate a stream of income and promote my brand. :)
