STEEMIT UNPRECEDENTED

STEEMIT is truly one of a kind. STEEMIT: a unprecedented social media site where the user can be rewarded for their content. It's like Reddit without the rules and arrogant moderators. Sounds like a dream, but could be nightmare in the making.
The nice thing about traditional social networks is users post without any incentive except for recognition and the joy of sharing content. Adding the incentive of a STEEMIT CURRENCY to STEEMIT users that can be transferred to cash money throws a whole new element to the evolution of social media. There is only one potential problem with this unprecedented idea: very poor content. Content so bad that users will flee because more organic social media sites like Facebook and Twitter have better content. I will admit that even the content from traditional social networks are mostly poor. Imagine how much worse the content could be for STEEMIT. Since there are no rules for STEEMIT, users may have to sift through loads of trash content to find some quality posts. Yes, I know the rating system used by STEEMIT users should filter out the bad content, but when users are motivated by money, they could lower themselves to make money. I don't mean to be pessimistic, but I've seen money make people do some terrible things.
Hopefully I am wrong. Hopefully the motivation of money will motivate users to post the best possible content. No matter the outcome, I think STEEMIT will serve as a good social experiment on social media user's behavior when influenced by money.
