Illucifierum is my contribution to fighting the spiritual war, and if you care to watch it find it on my channel. Not in source quality, I had some issues with uploading it in HD and the original post on this steem account was another upload of Illucifierum, which doesn't play anymore. It is on YouTube in HD..

Google/YouTube and Facebook/Instagram are just two of the juggernauts that harvest our data that I won't contribute to anymore! but fuck, damn Google Two-Factor Authentication..
Youtube does not deserver our content. If they have the right to demonetize or censor you, why would you want to contribute to a platform like that?
Why would you want to contribute to Facebook when they control the narrative.

Yes of course, and it took me 6 tries!! to upload this video to @dtube.. Started trying about 12 hours ago. Brave, Mozilla, Safari, Brave.. Mozilla.. Finally Brave worked the 6th try.. I was in discord bitching. Sure it's frustrating, but we have to use it to break it to fix it to teach it.
I'm no dev, but I see issues. What will SMT's do other than change Steem into an Ethereum like platform with graphene tech. Steem was throwing broadcast errors back during the BTC all time high.. Opening Steem up to SMT's and ICO's would create a lot of through-put. Can Steem even handle that?
Is this why Dan left and developed EOS?
Plus, look at steemit.com if you use Appics, Dtube and Dsound daily, your steemit feed becomes wicked spammy.. it's a mess. Plus, why are we giving all of our content to @ned's platform if we don't use it.. If I want to support @prc and @dsound and post a track I created I post on dsound. At the same time, I don't necessarily want to support steemit, or @ned because he was a dick to me at @SteemFest at the bowling alley. LOL.. Nevertheless, @ned gets my content too. Same for my Appics posts, @SteemPeak.. @Partiko..

So far steem is still the Best. No eos social media at site - @isegoria from @benswann still in dev - projects like @partiko dont need permission from ned we just Fund it. If a dezentralized platform really surpasses it will ne heaven for free thinkers.

The "extra step" that Omar is talking about is due to Steemit's antiquated interface. You can play embedded dtube videos if you use the SteemPeak website.

SteemPeak and Busy are awesome, although I'm some issues with both. Don't get me wrong I love them both, way more than steemit, but using Brave Browser, I cannot see the Dtube thumbnails in my feed, and when using Busy, also in Brave, I cannot see the Appics thumbnails on my feed. my notifications also don't go away when I check them, the bubble with number stays there.

Well the main point being heard by me is that the present new account creation is not ready for mass adoption. That point is perfectly correct in my opinion, yet do we want mass adoption at this point; or ever for that matter? Allow me to explain....
In the present bear market there has been a marked drop off of active users. Before starting my #deletefacebook process, some of those on my own follow list were seen to be very active on FB, while having dropped off the map here on the STEEM blockchain. Such users could be catergorized as Reward Whores, in my opinion and good riddance to them!
One must also ask are we doing potential recruits, like maybe your Grampa, any favors to bring them to a platform where they are expected to be their own bank and provide their own security for it? No attempt to be an ageist, being someone who receives old age pension myself, yet they may not share my past career in IT.
Even AOL still has a user base. 😎
My feeling, after recently using SteemInvite.com, is that recruitment should be somewhat analog. That is, say a friend shows some interest in the STEEM Blockchain then you could create an account with some delegated SPs for them.
After all we are not meant to be a social media replacement for Facebook, but instead a blogging platform. So quality superceeds number of users in my opinion.

If someone is biting at the bit to either blog or start spamming then offer a quick and easy means to purchase an account, if such services do not already exist.
That is my take on on-boarding, keeping in mind that things have, and do, move slower for us old farts. 😎
@novacadian I think a private messenger would help. People use facebook to connect through messenger mostly.

I understand that steemit.com is not trying to be facebook, it a hybrid type twitter/reddit.. though, Appics is trying to be Instagram and they both live on Steem.

My only point, really, is that the STEEM Blockchain could have ongoing monitization easily. Just be neat to have that potential revenue distributed through stake interest payments in the same HF.

I am using Brave and Dtube does not work in the Steempeak platform is just shows blank I can get it if I go to the Dtube link but even then its intermittent and network fail often. Any advice?
I agree Blockchain could be the future but I have heard about Hashgraphs which might take it over. Things a pick up pace for sure the hundredth monkey is so close my friend it great to see. I don't understand delegation of Steem power really I collect them but am her for the community and the growing movement! 💯🐒

I LOVE DTube. However, as a content creator, I miss the legacy earnings of YT. I have videos that are 6-7 years old that are still earning. It all adds up, and TBH I like to know that they are there if I ever feel like reliving the old days lol.
start saving those old days on a hard drive just in case.

I had some troubles uploading to Dtube as well. now i mostly use @Steem-plus to upload to Dtube. Just install the browser app, set the first tag as "Dtube" and voila you can upload it there. They get 1% of your earnings and in return you get SP-Points and upvotes. hope this helped
