HF21, witness voting, EIP, and Steem Proposal System
Hi Everyone!
Briefly, I'm information-gathering about witnesses. When we vote for witnesses, in general, we're looking for them to be reliable. Recently, though, a few changes that are controversial may be implemented in the next hardfork. I need to know the positions of the witnesses on these proposed changes so that I can change my witness votes to reflect my own opinions. Hopefully others can use any information gathered here to do the same.
If you know any or all of the positions of witnesses (or you are a witness and want to tell me), please answer in the comments. I would like to know as many as possible, not just top 20. Maybe top 20 should change, after all.
What is their position on
- The free downvote pool of EIP? Pro or con and details of how it's implemented?
- New rewards curve (no longer linear)
- 50/50 curation
- How to fund SPS (donation only, donation plus percentage of rewards pool taken from curation/author, or donation plus percentage of "inflation" taken across the top from all sources of steem - including curation/author, witness rewards, AND vest:SP conversion)
- Other things? Are there other things you want to discuss about witness decisions? These are our representatives, folks. Let's vote knowledgeably and proactively.
