It seems like the decisive measures of the Witnesses that achieved a Super Majority and implemented Soft Fork 0.2.2.2 (or as I think of it 'the sporkoning') brought about exactly what they intended to do which was to simply protect the blockchain and initiate communications.

The sporkoning is upon us!
