Platform Independent Way To Embed YouTube Videos On Steemit

Few days ago @surfermarly posted an article on Embed YouTube videos on steemit articles.

That was a good tutorial, no doubt!

However, when using other devices, such as mobiles. You can't see the options like 'Embed' because the developers seems to trim down the functions on mobile devices.

So for the days when you don't have access to desktop read this post.

Steps

1. Firstly, you will have to copy the YouTube video link that you want to embed.

• If you are on the browser then you can copy it from the address bar.

• If you are on the youtube app then you can click on share icon to get the link.

1. Now, go to this website.

I choose ilmigo because it's free and doesn't put watermark of their service over videos... unlike most of others. And it gives a responsive code, responsive code means the video will automatically adjust to the browser size.

• insert link in the first box, and click on the generate code.

• copy the code. Go to steemit editor, switch to "Raw HTML" mode and paste the code. If you are using eSteem then you can directly paste the code.

Done. You just learned new way to embed YouTube videos.
