Mave milestone 1000 SP
I have been in the platform for almost 10 months now and have finally reached my Steem Power target of 1000 SP.
To be honest I didn't think it was possible as I am not a very good writer, nor can I sing or create art. I only had my mind and opinions as basis of posts that I would write about.
I have tried my hand in creating videos a couple of times but so far you can still see my nervousness in those.
I have been everything content creator, a community builder, an engager, a curator, an onboarder and an audience to a multitude of shows in various discord communities.
I have made Steem a huge part of my life because I have seen so much good in the platform and have seen that it could change people's lives for the better.
I have made 318 posts and 9492 comments in an almost a year of being in the platform.
Self voting in the last 7 days is .061 for the last 7 days and 0.1% in the last 30 days with over 478 unique accounts voted for.
I still think that my growth has been slow but being in the 1000 SP range means that I am in the 1% in the Steem platform as majority of the accounts do not power up to 500 SP.
Each person has their reasons and they do not need to answer to anyone on the life choices they do.
Majority of the things I wanted to do with my visionboard has been accomplished already for this year and we still have 5 more months to go.
So what is next for Mave?
I am not really sure aside from continuing to post and meeting awesome people. Looking for good initiatives to support.
Keeping in the know with regards to the Steem Platform. I am still looking at how Hivemind and Communities will change the way we do things here.
SMT is another one that has a huge buzz around it but I don't really see myself as someone who would create one.
Reaching 5000 SP to become an entry point dolphin is a definite long term goal I have.
In order to reach that I would need around 4000 SP and with Steem at $1.33 and 1 USD is about PHP 53.50 Philippines Pesos it would be around PHP 284,620 or $ 5,320 USD in order to become a dolphin.
Minimium monthly wage of a person in my country is roughly PHP 11,000 so that amount is something substantial to us.
I have been putting in some of the hedging and extra money I have been getting to help power up from time to time.
So I will keep on posting and powering up from time to time. Continue building up networks and communities to support and be an informed Steemian who cares about the future of the platform.
It is when we care enough that we want to make sure we are making the right decisions. That our actions would be in line with our vision as well as what we say. We cannot say one thing and our actions speak otherwise.
Although I have to be honest that I get burnt out, I get tired and lack the motivation to be in the platform at times. Those moments of rest is necessary for me to regain some of my energy.
So keep Steeming my friends and enjoy what were are doing.

That is a milestone to be proud of my friend. you have done excellent in a year and i am hoping to see you meet your future targets as well. first 1000 SP is the most difficult one and first year also involved some learning curve. now that you have gone through that i guess you wont be needing that.
Yes a lot of learning, networking and putting in the hours. I also love to socialize with people and getting to know them so it worked out well and I had some support.
I am in so many communities and althuogh I am not active in all I try to pop in once in awhile.

i admire you for this and i am super proud of you. Growing SP seems to be the hardest thing, and for the faint hearted, it is more discouraging than not.
You have been on the plat form roughly 2 months longer than i have been and yet i am no where close to being where you are. I guess there is need to change strategy? re focus? i dont know. but for reaching thus far sir, i applaud you. Any personal tips?
and i agree with you 100% on taking off time here and then off the platform, it re energizes you, gives you time to think and a greater come back.

Thank you Purpetanzanite! It has been a hard road and there have been times I thought that I would not reach it because I wanted to quit.
We all have our own time and pace so don't think that you are not close.
Best advise I can give is engagement. Find a community that you really like and build relationships.
You don't need to go chasing whales and concentrate on your relationships and content. People will start to notice and support you.
Most of all just enjoy yourself.

Woohoo Mave! Congratulations on hitting the 1K SP milestone. That is awesome. Definitely have to make it to 5K now. I will cheer you on so you can get there and I can get to 1K myself.
It is interesting when looking at the average salary there compared to the cost of SP. One of my reasons for joining this platform is that very reason; an upvote to one person is nothing but could make a difference to someone else somewhere.
Btw, you are an awesome writer. I haven’t had a chance to check out the videos but I think it’s great you are exploring other avenues of interest.

Your are the second person I've read about in the last few days who has made it to 1000 SP. Congratulations. I think it's a great milestone to recognize, and much more indicative of the work you've done and the status you've reached than the amount of followers, say.
I'd say you've accomplished much in the last 10 months. And I'm not buying the "not a great writer" bit. You're as good as any here. And I don't blame you for the nervousness on camera. I can do it. I just don't think my face needs to be the focus. Someone else's face, sure. Not mine.:)
Thanks Glen! It was a hard journey especially at the start but the more I learned about Steemit it grew easier, well not that easy that I am making mad money but I have the right expectations.

So, I imagine you must have some thoughts as to what you're going to do with the video? You have a lot of material from your blog posts to draw from if you decide to continue in similar subjects. Or do you have something else in mind for the video?
It seems like sitting in front of the camera and expressing one's thoughts has been the mainstay ever since YouTube began, and it's amazing but that still seems to be the main format. Just say what comes to mind.
It's quicker and easier than a lot of other things that are going to take more time in preparation, production and post-production, which I'm assuming is the main reason why people still do it. How it's become so popular I guess stems from the fact that viewers like the unpolished, honest and real feelings that can be attached to it. Just tell it like you think it is.
I am not 100% sure what though I wanted to do some gaming playthroughs before and show what I have been doing in the boss hunts hahha
I wanted to talk about life but found that I am crap with improve speech even if I list down my talking points,
I will try to see what I can do and I will always have writing though haha

Some people have made a pretty good living off of playthroughs. I'm not entirely sure what the demographics for that is here, because you generally have older gamers, say 20-35 running around Steemit, rather than 12-19, who might spend some time watching a playthrough because they find it entertaining or because they want to learn, while as the older crowd would either be making their own or not interested in seeing what others do because they think they're already better anyway so why waste the time.
Still, with the number of people that are supposed to be coming in and the pervasiveness of console and computer games, you're bound to find a niche for all of that. In anything we do here, it's going to be number of consumers for that specific content versus the number of creators, and then how does it become visible to them.
