The pump was likely caused by the addition of a USDT/STEEM trading pair at binance.
Oh, I was not aware of that until now. Thank you for the tip. If there was a message about this on steemit, I must have somehow missed it.
It may have been announced here, but I also didn't see it. Only on the Twitter post that I linked to.
