That might be a solution, but only because of the different colours, I could better match them. But I assume very strongly that the gap between washing machine door and drum is responsible for the fact that with each wash cycle at least 1 sock disappears. There should already be hundreds of socks in it and it is a miracle that the drum still turns at all... XD
