Carpe Diem. Steemians, will we seize the day? We have an opportunity to beat Twitter. What actions will you take, as an individual Steemian?

in #steem9 years ago (edited)
  • Twitter took 2 years to reach 50 million users.

  • Steemit in just over a year is less than 1 million users.

Yet; we have an opportunity to beat Twitter.

Here's why

  • Linear v exponential

What if all of us on Steemit think exponentially?

  • If Steemit is at 1% right now, what actions must I take as an individual Steemian to facilitate Steemit to becoming the fastest to reach 50 million users?

Kindly weigh in by commenting on this post.

See your post mentioned here

Thank you, @steemwizards

cool one, I made a similar post a while ago about exponential math and did the math on what it would take to reach 50 million. With a growth rate of 5% a week that can go FAST. Great gif of lake Michigan, going to borrow that!

Thank you, Jan Peeters
That's an excellent post you've authoured, @the-traveler

Thanks, have been following him for a few years and has boggled my mind together with Dan Pink and Kevin Kelly. I only now am able to make sense of all this stuff through writing steemit.com posts. That is my reward :)
I find Diamandis excellent but at the same time he glosses over the bit in the middle. He explains very well the "there" but not how the transition will be for the hundreds of millions of professionals in the meantime. That is the area I want to explore and write about; what does one need to do or learn to go from a knowledge economy professional to become an idea economy professional.

I actively promote steemit, I'm doing my bit ;)

That's great, @hotandrandom

  • What are the specific actions that you are taking to promote Steemit?

  • What can all of us learn from you?

You're welcome & thank you.
Followed you.

What do you recommend that we do to make Steemit beat Twitter's record?

Yet, it is.

I like your train of thoughts on this :)
Exponential growth is a powerful thing and I think we are seing some effect of it on Steemit right now. However I don't think we are seeing it to it's full effect.
In order for Steemit to reach its full potential, we should all keep posting good content, support that good content and promote Steemit to non-users :)
