RE: This is pretty cool - how did I find it?

You just made me have an idea...

Poor search functionality is probably why steem is dropping down the Alexa rankings.

Google punishes sites that fail to provide relevant content (one indication of which is a hight bounce rate.)

It's the reason I don't link back to main blog.. I am 100% certain anything with a steeemit/ prefix is flagged on google as low relevance.

It's possibly something that needs more priority. All of these social media campaigns are pointless if google's not indexing steem effectively.

Maybe, just a theory.

Anything that can help better direct people and improve bounce should improve visibility.

hmm. I have found good as one of the better ways to search for content, but I'm not sure how 'bounce' works. Is it a worse case scenario if the page is loaded, then no more links are clicked and it's closed?

When searching I normally have an idea of the persons username - I guess many would not and just be seeking content.

Also, I read a while back that the indexer works better if you use HTML instead of the fancy new script, so < h1 > is better than a #. That was from Jerry though so...

That'd bounce yes... that's an interesting point about html.

I now write my posts in WPress and then cut paste them across to steem - it works pretty well but I had notice it codes it differently.
