RE: The Old Dog Declares: The Good News in Crypto Just Keeps on Coming!

in #steem7 years ago

I may be on the streets pretty soon so I may have to! Let me pick your brain Oh Great One... When I upvote a post, it lowers my voting power. Does the same happen when I upvote a comment? I've got so many people that I'm trying to encourage by upvoting their posts, I get afraid that if I upvote comments, I'll run out. Please advise, Oh Wise One!

With the hard fork you have 10 full power votes a day! Use the slider when you vote. Experiment with it a bit until you see what the results are. As you try the slider at different levels check the results and write them down. Try a few vote at 10% which gives you 100 votes a day. At 5 % 200 a day. At 1% 1,000 a day.

Votes on comments or on an article use the same power. I try to give more for a good comment or to a newbie! Have fun and Steem on! Here's a vote for you at 5% £1.94. Not bad. My voting power is now at 96.54%

I will vote at 100% a few times a day and 50% a few times a day to help those that need it!

Thank you, my friend... That's what I suspected, I just wanted to make sure. I've already adjusted my slider accordingly (I hope). This will take a little getting used to!

What confused me is when I adjusted my slider for posts down and then went to upvote a comment- that slider was still at 100%. Apparently they're not related... I think that's what confused me. Thanks again!

You're posts are doing great right now. I have the utmost respect for you as on of the senior members on this platform!

Thanks! I may need it... I don't know how much longer I can hold on where I'm at. The guy I take care of really needs to be put somewhere with constant supervision. It will put me on the street... but what's important is that he's taken care of properly.

He went out and totaled a $65,000 Audi a couple of nights ago (Thank God nobody was hurt). I'm not capable of babysitting a 65 year old guy 24/7!

You should keep your account set on power down that way you're never more than 7 days away from cash. If you don't need it just power the Steem back up but keep it on power down. Get yourself a Shift card and then you can load it up with your earnings and use it as a debit card.

Keep Steeming while the going is good. You're doing great. Don't you have a government pension?

No, the govt. pension is out! I'm an orphan and don't know whose name I have... I never had a birth certificate. When I went in the military I "borrowed" a friend's SS # and switched a couple numbers. I don't even think my name is spelled right (I had to sound it out) I've never been able to find others with the same name.

I just hit 4000 SP today and want to keep it. I'm trying to write enough to put the SBD on my Bitpay card... I have some time. I really don't want to power down unless I absolutely have to... I worked too hard to get here!

My problem was "going legit" when I was making money illegally- I made it hand over fist (I gave it all away too story of my life). Stupid me thought I could be like everybody else. I went from $5000 a week to zip!!!

I admire your courage and honesty!

Thank you, my friend... That means more than you could realize!
