It seems to be more places than Ploniex that has issues. OpenLedger reported to have issues with their Steem wallet as well and the option to Deposit/Withdraw both SBD and STEEM is unavailable.
I hope this gets sorted out soon, but rest assured that it's not only Poloniex that has these issues and that means that it will most likely be solved.

Would really like to know what the technical issues are though. Hope it's not a fundamental problem with graphene software :/
Do you know if there is there a slack channel or something equivalent where people discuss this type of stuff, hard fork plans, etc?
