There is many benefits to reading but I will keep it simple for today. Reading helps the brain remain active and healthy which In turn allows the brain to think straight and produce positive thoughts. The brain is similar to the body, it needs exercise daily to remain healthy and positive. 15 minutes of positive reading daily can quickly shift your mindset from negative to positive without you realising it.
2 - surround yourself with positive minded people...
They say that in 5 years time, you will be the average of the 5 people you spend time with the most. You can choose to hand around with 5 jobless friends who like to "chill" everyday, or you can substitute them for 5 hard working, motivated individuals with excellent long term goals. You want to pick up as much good habits as possible in your life. Think about which 5 friends or accomplices will provide you the most value and spend as much time with them as possible for the next 5 years.
3 - Patience is the key component in remaining positive...
We've all heard this saying "patience is a virtue" but it's more then just a saying, it's a fact that every human being eventually comes to realise. Some of us realise early and some of us realise late, but nevertheless we realise. Exercising patience in our daily life will help us to remain positive. We will undoubtedly face fallbacks which will have us sad or upset but it's a patient positive mind that will overcome these short tests.
Patience is a huge key, but sometimes you need to act quickly when the opportunity is there.
