RE: Steemians Giving Feedback On Steem - Here Are The Results Of The Summer Survey!
These are interesting results. Okay, so you didn't get many results, but they seem to be across a range of users. Thanks for doing this
You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed the data! :-)
Yeah, I was quite disappointed that there were only 112 participating. I shared the link with everybody I know, but only a few were willing to share it with their audience. Then I also didn't want to spend $200 dollars on a trending position since I completely refuse excessive vote buying :-) It is what it is...
First of all: that was a really interesting survey. Congrats to your good work!
Maybe 112 is not that bad ... but you are right there could have been more participants.
Concerning myself, I just wasn't aware of your survey.
One of the reasons why not more people were taking part could be that nowadays many, many Steemians just don't read articles anymore: they are just autoupvoting their friends and that's it. So even if they upvoted your plea to take part in the survey, some of them still didn't know what your article was about ...
I agree that your survey may not be representative because I guess that the participating Steemians are much more engaged than the average one, so that you finally examined a certain kind of Steemit user. However, that doesn't lessen your survey at all: in my eyes it was very useful and interesting to read.
I take the opportunity to add another suggestion what could be improved in Steemit: security! I advocate the idea of having at least the option to protect ones account with two-factor authentication (2FA), whereby I would prefer SMS over 'Google Authenticator'.
Hey @jaki01! Thanks a lot for your valuable addings :-)
I was actually thinking a bit more about these 112 during the past days, and I guess you're pretty right: It's not too bad. I guess if the survey had been announced by Steemit, Inc it would've attracted much more participants.
Independently of the fact that the sample wasn't representative, the feedback given was quite interesting to read through. Especially the fact that so many are missing a better user interface / content structure was an important statement to consider.
And yes, fully agreed: security standards could be improved as well!
Enjoy your weekend! ;-)
