They are in the process of increasing the blocksize to 2mb if not more. Also as new mining hardware enters the industry, the more decentralized bitcoin gets which will lead to faster consensus on issues like "bandwith" or speed.
Are you kidding? The blocksize debate has been raging for like 1.5 years now and still hasn't been concluded. Would you use steem if it took 10 minutes to post a message, or to upvote a post?
