The FBCCI joins workshops on "responsible purchasing practices in ready made garments and footwear industries" organized in Brussels, Belgium.

A delegation led by FBCCI President Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin) on Tuesday went to Belgium for this purpose. The European Union (EU) and Economic Co-operation and Development Organization (OECD) jointly organized the workshop in a joint statement issued by the company. On the second day of the workshop, the FBCCI president served as a coordinating coordinator of the session. There are discussions on intensive data exchange in order to show responsible behavior with buyers and risk-takers.

Representatives from various donor organizations, producers, buyers, trade union and civil society participants attended the workshop in the EU, USA, Canada, ILO. Experts appreciated the importance of safety and labor rights in Bangladesh's readymade garment factories.
