STEEM Is Starting To Attract Some Major Players
This blockchain is starting to garner some major attention.
The latest piece of good news was just re-steemed by @robert-call.
Engadget.com is now on both Steemit and D.Tube.
Being someone who is so immersed in technology, Engadget is a must read site. This is one that offers information for both technologists and geeks. It is also a go-to site for many gamers.
This is a highly popular site with a pretty good ranking.
From my experience, the progress of newer ideas tends to first appear on the tech sites. After that it moves to the business pages before finding its way to the mainstream outfits.
The fact that a technology site is looking into the value of the STEEM blockchain for its brand shows we are starting the process of penetrating the first group. It would not surprise me to see other sites of this nature join.
Another exciting fact is this Steemit account is being run by an individual who was previously at Vice. To me, this means he has some knowledge about the potential of this blockchain. Over time, we might see some articles appear about Steemit and D.Tube on the pages of Engadget.

This is just another example of how the reach of this blockchain is expanding. A few weeks ago I wrote about the compounding nature of the growth here. Having a site like Engadget on this blockchain is one aspect that can really grow the user base.

Really cool! Although I've never spent any time on Engadget I certainly know what the site is and it's good reputation.
I think Steem is going to grow, a lot. Just looking at the numbers from when I joined a month ago until now -- it's quite astounding.
Thanks!
It is amazing when something you know, like an Engadget, joins a newer technology like this.
I have a feeling this is not the last of the known sites who will join this blockchain....we are going to see more like this.
That's actually pretty awesome news as it will increase the mainstream visibility of Steemit. I've already followed them and will be actively voting and commenting. It could also draw a good number of new users in the coming weeks/months. 2018 is starting off pretty good.
I put them on my follow list.
When I joined, I was disappointed at the technology/futurism section on here. Having a site like Engadget posting their content on here would really help.
I agree 100%. I was kinda disappointed at the lack of futurism content myself. I started posting some scenarios, but have gotten distracted by promoting writing contests. Eventually I hope to free up an hour or so a day to devote to posting futurism content. I've got bookmarks for my research, just no time. And no staff of writers like Engadget :)
I also see they didn't join and buy 100k Steem, so likely an experiment by them.
This is outright awesome. This is a really good exposure for steem. It's an awesome news and I see many heavyweights following in his trail.
Thank you sir for sharing.
@taskmaster4450 I know I repeat myself a lot, but you're the biggest Steem bull I'm aware of and I'm grateful for your loud voice to encourage everyone. I'm taking a step back for a number of weeks and delegating my SP to different minnows, but I'm looking forward to my return already. Thanks!
And expect pathetic upvotes soon, I'll have hardly any SP haha...
That is okay my friend. I know you are behind me 100% even if you torched your VP (you did it the right way).
I am going to miss you while you are gone...hopefully it is a profitable and successful time whatever you are doing. We are going to miss you on here but we will do our best to carry the torch forward.
Maybe when you come back we will be at $20 STEEM.
We just got listed on binance too. It seems we are hitting different fronts simultaneously and each front gets numerous waves of attention. Crypto hits finance and tech, steemit hits all forms of social media AND creative fronts as well. It could potential reach even further depending on the actions of our user base and developers on the platform.
I promise that mainstream adoption of steemit is going to come out of nowhere, suddenly a wave of 10-20 youtubers who are as famous as some of our biggest names will join in the same week and all their fans will follow. I’d prefer a slower more gradual adoption, but I don’t think anyone will have any say in the matter. The cat is already out of the bag.
For your forecast to come true, we will have to see the sign up process automated.
It appears to be taking some time.
But I do agree with you. Slower probably would be better so we might as well take this time to get our acts together. The development teams are starting to make some progress. D.Tube is improving as is Zappl. These are both arenas which will draw a bunch of people.
You always bring us good news, even though there's a lot of bad news. I like this positive... Steem will be succeeds. If this year doesn't succeeds, it will certainly succeeds next year...
Now we must help to spread Steem among our friends...
And we must work a lot to make it the best place, and we must maintain our solidarity, which is the most important point here...
thank you @taskmaster4450
STEEM is already succeeding. Look at the user growth...look at the daily active users...look at the number of posts/upvotes...look at the daily number of transactions.
True the pricing action is poor but, then again, all pricing in the crypto world is poor right now. Yet the marketcap does not reflect what is taking place on this blockchain.
From that perspective, things are charging ahead.
It still has it's issues though, from aggrandizement to hygiene and bittersweet problems...
Aggrandizement is the core tenant of Steem!
Dilly Dilly!
Garner it must because this blockchain carries a lot of potentials and opportunities, so basically, there will be a flow in that direction. This is just the beginning for us, more like engadget will be coming on-board 😁
Very true...we will see more over time....also ones that are bigger and have even more followers.
@ned wants to tokenize the internet.
It is something that I believe we can achieve.
And some of these will want their own tokens, too.
@taskmaster4450 what are your views about steem in 2020 hope it the world most used media i followed your to gain the answer
Cool news! I wish they had verified their account by a confirmation post on their website/social network accounts. Posting on such other places could help draw more people to Steem. Of course, they might have done this and I missed it :P
Yay! this is exciting!
I agree with this assessment of trends. ^^ Steemit is on its way!
Thanks for keeping us informed of so much awesomeness. I love following you for that reason.
I have always right from onset believed so much in steem. My faith is unwavering, it's just a matter of time and it will occupy it's rightful place as number one in cryptos.
At least in the top 10 @cyprianj.
Sure it will.....our collective efforts will do it. Proud to be a steemian.
Absolutely.....it is something to wear as a badge of honor.
